Katie Sadler – Community Fundraising Coordinator
Throughout my career, I have worked across both the charity and commercial sectors, building experience in fundraising, marketing, partnership development, and income generation. Supported by a BA (Hons) in Business Management and Marketing, I have had the opportunity to work with a range of organisations, including Butterwick Hospice and Teesside Hospice within the non-profit sector and commercially at Middlesbrough Football Club and Nestle UK.
These experiences helped shape my passion for building meaningful relationships, engaging communities, and creating opportunities that bring people together to support causes that matter.
I joined MDS UK in February 2026 because I am passionate about being part of an organisation that make a genuine difference to people’s lives. Knowing that my work contributes to raising awareness of Myelodysplastic Syndromes and supporting individuals and their loved ones is what makes my role so meaningful and rewarding.
One of the things I enjoy most about my role is connecting with supporters, fundraisers, and partners. I believe that lasting relationships are at the heart of successful initiatives, and that when people come together around a shared purpose, they can make a real difference to the lives of others.
I'm a mum to two teenage children who keep me busy, grounded, and constantly on my toes.
