Pay in funds and donations
Thank you for your support
Whether you've raised funds through an event or made a personal donation, we are truly grateful for your generosity. Every contribution makes a real difference and helps us continue our vital work supporting individuals affected by MDS and CMML.
There are several ways to send in your donation or fundraising proceeds, which we've outlined below. (Please take a moment to read the 'Let Us Know' and 'Gift Aid' sections when choosing your preferred payment method.
How to make One-off donations
We deeply appreciate your one-off donation to MDS UK. Your generosity directly strengthens our ability to offer essential services, advocacy, and support to those affected by MDS and CMML. You can make a one-off payment using any of the following methods:
Pay in money via our online system
The quickest and safest way to send us your fundraising money or a donation is through our online system – it’s simple, secure and is quick and easy. If the amount you wish to pay in isn’t listed on the page, just select ‘Other’ and type in your total.
- make a one-off donation, or become a regular donor
- pay in money from a collection or a fundraising event
- donate on behalf of a company, group or association
- donate in memory of someone, or in celebration of a special occasion
Plant a sunflower in our virtual memory garden
Alternatively, you can pay in your one-off donation by planting a sunflower in our virtual memory garden. It's a lovely way to remember someone or to say a special thank you to a loved one, caregiver or friend, with a personal dedication and the option to upload a photograph.

Let us know about any donation as we'd like to thank you 🙂
Thank you for your generous support — every donation is deeply appreciated and plays a crucial role in helping us continue our work supporting those affected by MDS and CMML. We would love to personally thank you for your support. To help us do so, please email us at fundraising@mdspatientsupport.org.uk with your name, donation amount, and method of payment. If you donated online, you’ll receive an automated acknowledgment—thank you! We’d still appreciate hearing from you directly.
Gift Aid - make your gift worth 25% more at no extra cost
Gift Aid is a government scheme that allows charities to reclaim the tax that UK taxpayers have already paid (through PAYE and other income tax deductions) on the charitable gifts they subsequently make.
All individual donations are eligible for the scheme – including regular gifts made through Standing Orders and Direct Debits. We can claim Gift Aid on donations made in the last four years and on all future donations* once we receive your Gift Aid declaration.
Gift Aid adds an additional 25% onto donations – so, for example, every eligible £10 becomes £12.50 and every eligible £100 becomes £125.
To allow us to claim Gift Aid on your donations, please complete and submit the Gift Aid declaration form when paying by bank transfer, cash deposit or cheque.
(If paying by our online system, there is no need to complete the form as there is the option to select Gift Aid when creating the online payment.)
Download the form by clicking the button below.
Any questions at all contact us via email: fundraising@mdspatientsupport.org.uk
Telephone: 020 7733 7558 (* please let us know if you stop paying tax in the UK and therefore no longer eligible for Gift Aid.)
Other ways to donate
In memoriam and funeral collections
Most Funeral Directors will organise this on your behalf. We are listed in the UK Charities Register and in directories used by Funeral Directors (our Registered Charity number is 1145214).
Many will set up ‘in memoriam’ pages online, or show you how to do this yourself, and have card facilities available on the day. They will also collect cash and cheque donations, and forward these to us with details of Gift Aid. However, if they are unable to offer this service please contact us on 020 7733 7558, or email Ashleigh at fundraising@mdspatientsupport.org.uk , and we will help.
Leave a gift in your will
Leaving a gift in your will is a meaningful way to support MDS UK and help us continue our vital work. Last year, over a third of our support services were funded through legacy gifts. Even small gifts make a big impact for a charity like ours. We also offer a free will writing service through our trusted partners at Darwin Gray, with no obligation to leave a gift. To find out more, read our article on Leaving a gift in your will where you can download our Gifts in Wills guide.
