Tina Deller is running the Virgin London Marathon on Sunday 3 October 2021 in memory of her dad.
She will run the virtual marathon, which gives participants the opportunity to take on the world’s greatest marathon on the course of their choice, wherever they are.
Runners in the virtual event will join a record 50,000 participants who will run the traditional Virgin Money London Marathon from Blackheath to The Mall.
"For those that don’t know I lost my hero, my Dad, this year. He had MDS and was helped so much by MDS UK and the Friends of Fairford Hospital. I know they are not your usual huge charities and won’t affect most of you but they do so much for so many and survive mostly on charity donations.
Anyway, enough rambling from me, thanks for taking the time to read this and even bigger thanks if you donate - I’ll do my absolute best to get through all those 26+ miles!
