How to create a new post on the Forum:

Creating a new post is very easy. Please follow the steps outlined below.

Log on to the Forum:
In order to create a new post, you must be logged on to the Forum. You can do this one of two ways:

1. Log on to the Forum: Click [Login] near the top left hand side of the page, just above [Board Index]. Once you have entered your username and password, you can reply to any post.
or
2. Click [New Topic]: Clicking on [New Topic] within the folder you wish to make a post to, the Forum will prompt you to enter your user name and password.

Make your new post

1. Find the folder you want to post in: There are folders for lots of different MDS topics. Find the one that is most relevant to the post you want to make and click into that folder. If you are logged in and can make a post in that folder, a button [New Topic] will be present, once at the top of the page and once at the bottom of the page. Please note that there are some folders that cannot be posted to. These will be folders that are managed by MDS UK, or folders which hold lower level folders. To post, always go to the lowest level folder.

2. Click on the button [New Topic]: This will launch a window that will allow you to type in your message.

3. Enter your post: There are 2 boxes displayed:
____ a. Subject: Enter the subject of your post. Keep it simple: Eg: “Hello”, or “My story so far” or “My experience with Azacitidine”
____ b. Enter your post: In the large white box below subject, type your post. You can use the buttons B to make your text bold, U to underline your text or I to make it italic.

4. Preview your post: Once you have finished typing your post, you can click on [Preview] to take a look at it before you post it to make sure you are happy with how it reads and looks.

5. Submit: by clicking [Submit] you will make the post and all other members will be able to see it.
