Dear All
I listened to these lectures just before Christmas and found them very interesting, engaging and thought-provoking. Dr Atul Gawande is well-qualified to speak on medical issues which really affect people and he has a good overview on how the medical profession deals with some of the difficult decisions which arise today. In the case of diseases such as MDS, there are often difficult choices to be made about treatments or procedures and the patient needs to be able to engage their medical supporters so that they can work out what they really want as an outcome.

I think these ought to be required listening from all trainee medcal staff - at all levels!!
Best wishes
