Online Presentation (with speaker) – Consultant Haematologist, Dr Mili Shah

Thursday, January 22nd 2026 @ 6.00pm – 7.00pm

Join MDS UK’s Online Presentation (via Zoom) on Thursday, 22 January 2026 where guest speaker Dr. Mili Shah, Consultant Haematologist at King’s College Hospital, will introduce a new initiative:

'Improving Transplant Outcomes in TP53-Mutated MDS & AML' by Dr Mili Shah

There is a significant unmet need in treatments for patients with TP53-mutated MDS and AML. Because post-transplant outcomes are currently poor, even patients deemed fit enough are rarely offered stem cell transplants.
To address this urgent need, leading clinicians are proposing that these patients are offered upfront prophylactic donor lymphocyte infusions (DLI) to potentially boost the effect of the transplanted cells. While DLI has been used in other settings, it has not previously been tried specifically for patients with TP53 mutations.
In this meeting, Dr. Shah will introduce and explain this new initiative in detail. To learn more, join her for our online session on Thursday, 22 January, from 6pm to 7pm. Please register using the red button below.
