Before joining MDS UK, I worked as a web content producer for Origins, a genealogy website and also made sites for individuals and small businesses, including The Chiswick Art School. Alongside this, I worked as a producer and proof listener of audiobooks.

Earlier in my career, I was a producer at the BBC for 13 years, including 5 years as senior content producer for the BBC Health website.

Through this role, I discovered an interest in complex health issues. Many of the sites I worked on required a sensitive approach as the users were potentially vulnerable - I produced sites on organ donation, sexual health, domestic violence, children in care and teenage pregnancy.

At this time, my father received a diagnosis of AML. This was a big shock for him and threw us all into a new world. Through this, I discovered a passion for patient advocacy and a determination to help patients navigate through the health system to get the best support available. I’m very excited to be working for MDS UK.

I grew up in London and enjoy reading, writing and singing and have an interest in psychotherapy. I have two children, (a 22-year-old girl and a 16-year-old boy) and also a very lovely and mischievous little black dog called Merlin.
