Something positive at last.

Post by Brian_adair2000 » 17 Jul 2014 11:51

Folks, just wanted to share my good news in that my epo injections in combination with my gcsf injections have started to show positive results. My red blood cell count has improved from 8.5 to 9.2 and now to 9.7 over a period of three months. My whites have gone a bit nuts rising from 2.2 to 15 in the same period but that's ok just a slight modification in doses will bring that down a bit apparently.
So after months and months of negative news I've received some positive and what a relief, just hope they continue to improve.

So feeling ok and realising that things aren't so bad after all.

Brian

Age 53

Feeling positive.

Brilliant! Brian, you are almost the same age as me so I understand a little bit about the joys of having decent Hb. Keep posting.

Well the old saying goes one swallow doesn't a summer make and I'm afraid it's true. I was getting all excited thinking my hb was rising and yes you guessed it, back down to 9.1 so I'm afraid posting a comment like something positive at last was a tad premature. So it looks like epo isn't for me, ah well got to grin and bear it I'm afraid.

I am so sorry that you have been disappointed. Life is really hard.
