There is also some good material on MDS generally there.
I did not see a mention of 'venesection'; I had iron overload due to transfusions prior to transplant - post transplant I had blood removed again (venesection) to correct the problem a year or more after the transplant.
The venesection is a simple procedure where they take a unit of blood every few weeks - seemed only fair they should take it back, but they swore it wasn't re-used:-"
