URGENT PETITION - AZACITIDINE - Please sign it

Post by sophie » 20 Oct 2009 19:11

You can help by completing this petition to parliament in support of this very important development in the care of some patients with MDS or in other ways listed in the petition. The petition has been raised by professor Ghulam Mufti, Chairman of The UK MDS Forum on behalf of The MDS community in the UK, both patients and clinicians.
We hope as many as you as possible will feel able to support this petition and help over turn the negative provisional NICE decision.

Please sign it and forward it to your friends and family.

Azacitidine update:
For MDS and azacitidine - we are currently still awaiting NICE's decision whether to recommend the drug or not for NHS patients, on the basis of it's cost-effectiveness.
The 3rd hearing has taken place yesterday, 7th Jan 2010.
We should have the result of this decision in about 2 weeks time.

If you have been denied access to azacitidine recently, please contact us now - your assistance will be crucial, should the decision be negative.

Please also keep forwarding our petition, requesting azacitidine to be made available on the NHS.
We need as many signatures as possible!
Please ask your friends, families, colleagues to sign:
