When Alex, told us she intended to take part in a Charity boxing match to raise funds for MDS, we thought she was joking. When we realised, she wasn't we were worried to say the least.

A massive THANK YOU, not only to Alex, but to Michelle, Laura, Phil, Hannah and Melanie for training hard to take part in such extreme sporting events.

Totally, separately, I purchased some tickets on line this morning for the Car Raffle. An email bounced straight back :
Congratulations. Your payment has been successful and you are now in with a chance of winning a brand new Kia Picanto in the Great Big small Charity Car Draw 2012. For every ticket sold, the charity receives £1.84. So get your friends, family and colleagues involved and raise money for small charities at the same time as being in with a chance of winning a stunning new Kia Picanto. Your tickets will be entered into the draw that takes place on the 13th february 2013 at the FSI's workshop. The winner will be contacted and the number place on our website Good Luck !
The next email contained the ticket numbers.
Such a great idea.

I am delighted to report that Alex is still in one piece, after Thursday's boxing match, which is a relief to us all.

Her trainer commented : It has been a privilege training you and working your corner tonight. You fought like a warrior and you showed unbelievable heart.
The whole journey from the first time we laced up the gloves through all the blood, sweat (but never any tears) has been an honour.
You should be incredibly proud of yourself. It takes guts to climb through the ropes, but to stand and fight the way you did was admirable.

From your friends and family :
CONGRATULATIONS Alex for raising in excess of £4,000, we are so proud of you.
Also many thanks to Michelle, Laura, Phil and Hannah as the total so far including the above is approx £13,000 including gift aid, which is amazing.
