CMML Psoriasis, Adult Acne Rosacea,

Post by MollyP » 02 Oct 2016 10:46

We have for a long time strongly believed there was a link between my husband's CMML and Psorisis, just recently he has also been diagnosed with Adult Acne Rosacea, we knew he had Rosacea, it had been spoken about years ago along with the sun damage to his skin from time living in Spain. But we didn't realise that what we currently thought was Psorisis was not, it was this Adult Acne Roseacea with a bit of Psorisis on top intermingled with other bits of sun damage. This is all on his face, so it's very unpleasant and not something the dermatologists see very often.

Amazingly, a spaced three week course of antibiotics has brought the skin under control and almost back to normal, and last week hubby had the most amazing blood test ever!

The centre of excellence we visit are very interested in this and are going to investigate further.

I thought it worth a mention here just in case anyone else who has CMML has this unusual combinations of skin issues.

So to update, hubby has been on the antibiotics again since October when the skin troubles started looming again, and once again these tablets stopped the adult acne roseacea in its tracks, blood tests all good too.

We live life now with his CMML in the background of our life and all is manageable and doesn't impact on daily life and the all important having fun.
