On Thursday 2nd March the legendary footballer Steve Cherry will be launching his book "Cherry Picking" at the Trent Navigation next to Notts County FC and he will be raising awareness and money for our little Charity.
Steve Cherry made football history as a goalkeeper making 542 league appearances in his 24-year career in the Football League, playing in all four divisions of the league. He won Player of the Year on 1983, 1988 and 1992.
For us, as a small charity, it is a dream to get Steve to fundraise for us. The launch of his book will also make more people aware of MDS. This is particularly important for rare conditions which are totally unknown amongst the general public.
We are immensely grateful to Steve, and all her friends and sponsors.
All the money raised will go to ensure that MDS patients and families receive the attention and information they need during those particularly difficult times – straight after diagnosis, at treatment changes, time of transplant or progression of the condition.
