Patient meeting – Ireland & Northern Ireland

MDS Patient,  family and friends meeting for Ireland and Northern Ireland.

This will be the second such meeting organised in the area.

Date: Friday, 25th October, 2013 (coinciding with MDS World Awareness Day)
Time: 11.00am -3.00pm
Where: The Post Graduate Centre, Adelaide and Meath Hospital, Tallaght, Dublin 24

But this time it is co-organised by the family of one of the patients – Breeda – and supported by MDS UK.
Breeda’s daughter Sinead has been very active over the last year to increase the patient contacts in the area and develop a small group.  We thank her and hope the group will grow quickly.
There will be an opportunity to listen to informal presentations, ask questions and meet other patients.
This meeting will hopefully help to develop this group further – and attract a few more people willing to get further involved with the new group.
We would like this group to get more involved in issues affecting Ireland.
Due to the proximity – we also would like patients and families from Northern Ireland to attend – and have the opportunity to meet.
Please help us develop this important group by attending – as well as telling your haematologist and GP about it.

MDS-POSTER-IRELAND

This is a new information meeting for MDS patients, family members and friends. We will have guest speakers on MDS and treatments, transplants and MDS and supportive therapy.
We will also have an open support session were health issues relevant to MDS patients can be discussed.

This is a new MDS Support Group for Ireland & Northern Ireland
