Oxford Regional Group Meeting & Christmas Lunch

Please see below a message from Claudia Richards, one of the group facilitators regarding the next Oxford meeting:
“All patients in the Oxford and Thames Valley area are welcome to attend, as are relatives and friends. This is an opportunity to get to know one another, share experiences and increase the support network in the area, particularly for newly-diagnosed patients.
Our meeting will take the form of a “back to basics” session led by Kirsty, with an overview of the various types of MDS and the current approaches to treatment, managing symptoms etc. This will be an ideal opportunity to ask any questions or to offer any “tips” you may have for living as normal a life as possible with the disease.
Please note that parking for the meeting is available in any of the Churchill Hospital car parks, and not the one beside the Maggie’s Centre, which belongs to the neighbouring Nursery.
All members who opt to join the Christmas Lunch party at The Britannia Inn following the meeting will need to pre-book via Claudia Richards (claudia.richards@fsmail.net) by Thursday 13th November, as the pub requires numbers and menu choices in advance.
