Oxford Regional Group meeting – 19/07/13

Time: 2.30 pm

Location: Oxford Cancer and Haematology Centre, Meeting Room 1, Level 2, Churchill Hospital.

Guest speaker: Helen Palmer from the Maggie’s Centre

This meeting will commence, as last time, with refreshments and an informal patient-to-patient session. Helen Palmer, a clinical psychologist based at the Maggie’s Centre, will then join us to talk about the services offered by the Centre and to discuss with us how we go about dealing with the impact of living with MDS.

All patients in the Oxford and Thames Valley area welcome to attend, as are relatives and friends. This is an opportunity to get to know one another, share experiences and increase the support network in the area, particularly for newly-diagnosed patients.

If you are treated at a different hospital – please don’t forget to inform your haematologist about this event – and ask them to inform his other patients.
