Hope many of you will be able to attend the Autumn patient meeting in Oxford.
As a patient or family member your presence at local meetings is very important .
Claudia and Gwyn – as well as the nurses and physicians do a wonderful job of arranging these meetings regularly.
They are very worthwhile attending, whether you are newly diagnosed and want to find out more or whether you were diagnosed a while ago and could contribute to the group.
Or simply if you want to meet other MDS patients.
Everyone is warmly welcome – and your attendance and contributions would be hugely appreciated and valued.
Date: Friday 18th October
Time: 2.30 pm – 4.30 pm
Location: Oxford Cancer and Haematology Centre, Meeting Room 1, Level 2, Churchill Hospital.
Guest speaker: Dr Alex Sternberg
This meeting will commence with refreshments and an informal patient-to-patient session. Dr Alex Sternberg will be joining us to answer any treatment-related or quality of life questions raised by the group.
In addition, there will be some feedback from patients attending the Annual London MDS Information Meeting on Friday 4th October.
All patients in the Oxford and Thames Valley area are welcome to attend, as are relatives and friends. This is an opportunity to get to know one another, share experiences and increase the support network in the area, particularly for newly-diagnosed patients. For registration – or if you require more information – please do not hesitate to contact Kirsty Crozier, Advanced Nurse Practitioner, on 01865 235287.
