Date: | 23/06/2017 |
Time: |
10:30 am - 12:30 pm
|
When: Friday, June 23: 10.30 am – 12.30 pm
Where: The Maggie’s Centre, Churchill Hospital, Old Road, OX3 7LE
The meeting will be led by Kirsty Crozier, Senior Advanced Nurse Practitioner for Myeloid Disorders with assistance from Oxford Group Coordinator Claudia Richards.
This meeting will focus on the meaning of some of the numbers which we - and our doctor - are faced with when reviewing our blood test results. We may well understand something of our red and white blood cell counts, and indeed our platelet numbers, but - for example - what is our haematocrit, and why does our sodium level matter?
Come along on June 23rdand find out more from Kirsty about these and other blood-related matters. At a future meeting we are looking to arrange a follow-up visit to the blood labs at the Churchill so that we can see where these tests are analysed.
If you intend to come to the meeting by car, please park in one of the Churchill Hospital car parks, and not the one beside the Maggie’s Centre, which belongs to the neighbouring Nursery.
