- This event has passed.
After a successful relaunch meeting in June, our great Oxford team of nurses and patient coordinators have scheduled another meeting at the newly-opened Maggie’s Centre at Churchill Hospital.
When: Friday, 22nd August 2014, 10.30 am – 12.30 pm
Where: The Maggie’s Centre, Churchill Hospital, Old Road, OX3 7LE
Meeting led by Kirsty Crozier, Advanced Nurse Practitioner at Churchill Hospital.
Special guest: Prof Paresh Vyas, Consultant Haematologist at Churchill Hospital
Please help us spread the news by informing relevant clinical staff or other MDS patients.
Claudia and Gwyneth arranged for a very informative next meeting and hope that many of you will attend. Further details from Claudia below:
“Prof Vyas will join us at 11.30 am to provide feedback on MDS-related developments discussed at the international haematology event he attended last month in Milan – the Congress of the European Haematology Association (EHA). We will therefore open the meeting with refreshments and general discussion, and Prof Vyas’s talk will be followed by a Q&A session which will last about 20 mins.
If you are able to come, please note that you need to park in one of the Churchill Hospital car parks, and not the one beside the Maggie’s Centre, which belongs to the neighbouring Nursery.
All patients in the Oxford and Thames Valley area are welcome to attend, as are relatives and friends. This is an opportunity to get to know one another, share experiences and increase the support network in the area, particularly for newly-diagnosed patients.”
For more information or to confirm your attendance please contact Kirsty Crozier, Advanced Nurse Practitioner.
If you have not contacted the MDS UK Patient Support Group before and would like to receive a full Patient Information Pack, please contact our Main Office.
