John Scott from Chorleywood, Hertfordshire passed away suddenly on the 14th October 2013.
Daughter Anna sent us these lovely words put together by the whole family – as well as a great photo of John on holiday on Tresco on the Isles of Scilly, a place he adored:
“His friends and family gave donations to help the continued work of MDS UK. During John’s battle with myelodysplasia, MDS UK was a source of information and comfort and the family feel it is important that this work continues to help others affected by this illness.
John was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. Since retiring from his job as a Finance Director in 2000 he devoted his time to his many interests – his family, gardening, golf, bridge and travelling. He was always willing to make time for those around him and to give the benefit of his advice and experience. He was genuine, honest and loving. His passing leaves a large hole and he is truly missed by many people.”
MDS UK would like to thank all the family and friends who contributed to the donations – and for their kind words about our work.
Thanks to this type of donations, we can maintain our assistance to other patients and their families.
