On 24th January 2018 Dolores and Jo, two daring and amazingly generous people, are climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in support of our small charity.
They do it for their brother-in-law and friend Mark Adams, who unfortunately suffers from MDS. They would like to support the MDS UK Patient Support Group with any donations people kindly choose to make so we can continue to support Mark and many others who need our help.
Dolores and Jo say in their funny Virgin Money Giving Page
Being the two mad hatters that we are, we have decided that to celebrate my Mum's 70th Birthday (That is Dolores definitely not Jo who is much much younger!!!) we will climb Mount Kilimanjaro.
We set off on 24th January 2018 and after 6 days we should, if all goes to plan, reach the summit and then spend another 2 days coming all the way back down again. It was either this or a week in Las Vegas and I am still trying to figure out why we went with the climb!!
We are enormously grateful for any donations, big or small. Many thanks to Dolores, Jo and their friends and sponsors for thinking of us.
All the money raised will help us to support more patients and their families, and ensure they receive the attention and information they need during those particularly difficult times – straight after diagnosis, at treatment changes, time of transplant or progression of the condition.
